Al-Jazirah - Riyadh:

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture launched yesterday a meeting of non-profit organizations under the supervision of the ministry, organized by the Agency of the Ministry for Beneficiary Services and Branch Affairs, represented by the General Administration of Non-Profit Sector Organizations, at the Ministry's Theater, in the presence of members and representatives of non-profit organizations, and with the participation of several entities including the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development, the Societies Support Fund, the Council of Non-Profit Institutions, the Council of Civil Societies, and the Saudi Reef Academy, along with a number of partner entities in the development and growth of the non-profit sector.

The meeting aims to enhance communication with non-profit institutions and societies, explore ways to develop the sector, and enable societies to perform their developmental roles, contributing to the achievement of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals, and strengthening the non-profit sector's contribution in the fields of environment, water, and agriculture.

The meeting witnessed discussions on the most prominent challenges facing non-profit organizations, and reviewed opportunities and initiatives aimed at developing their work, enhancing partnership with the ministry, and raising the efficiency of institutional work, thereby contributing to the development of the sector and maximizing its developmental impact. It also included an open dialogue session that allowed representatives of organizations to present their views and discuss solutions and initiatives supporting the development of the sector.

His Excellency the Director General of the General Administration of Non-Profit Sector Organizations, Dr. Al-Rumdi bin Qaed al-Saqri, stated in his speech that the meeting comes within the framework of the ministry's interest in enhancing partnership with non-profit organizations and enabling them to perform their developmental mission efficiently and effectively, in line with the ministry's targets and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
