Environment Ministry Launches Meeting of Non-Profit Organizations
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture launched the Meeting of Non-Profit Organizations under the supervision of the ministry, organized by the Agency of the Ministry for Beneficiary Services and Branch Affairs, represented by the General Administration of Non-Profit Sector Organizations, at the Ministry's Theater, in the presence of members and representatives of non-profit organizations, and with the participation of several entities including the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development, the Associations Support Fund, the Council of Non-Profit Institutions, the Council of Non-Profit Associations, the Saudi Reef Academy, along with a number of partner entities in the development and growth of the non-profit sector. The meeting aims to enhance communication with non-profit institutions and associations, discuss ways to develop the sector, and enable associations to perform their developmental roles, contributing to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, and enhancing the contribution of the non-profit sector in the fields of environment, water and agriculture. The meeting witnessed discussion of the most prominent challenges facing non-profit organizations, and a review of opportunities and initiatives aimed at developing their work, strengthening partnership with the ministry, and raising the efficiency of institutional work, contributing to the development of the sector and maximizing its developmental impact. It also included an open dialogue session that allowed representatives of organizations to present their views and discuss solutions and initiatives supporting the development of the sector. The Director General of the General Administration of Non-Profit Sector Organizations, Dr. Al-Rumdi bin Qa'id Al-Saqri, stated in his speech that the meeting comes within the framework of the ministry's interest in strengthening partnership with non-profit organizations and enabling them to perform their developmental mission efficiently and effectively, in line with the ministry's goals and Saudi Vision 2030. Dr. Al-Saqri expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, the Deputy Minister, Engineer Mansour Al-Mushaiti, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Engineer Majid Al-Khalif, and the participating entities from non-profit organizations, praising their visions and proposals that would contribute to the development of the non-profit sector and enhance its developmental impact in serving the objectives of the ministry's system.
