The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification has offered 16 investment opportunities in a number of national parks in the Qassim region, as part of enhancing partnership with the private sector, supporting nature destination tourism, and contributing to achieving the goals of sustainable development and Saudi Vision 2030.

The center explained that these investment opportunities aim to empower the private sector and expand its participation in implementing development projects with sustainable environmental and economic impact; with the goal of developing, protecting, and sustaining vegetation cover sites, enhancing the efficiency of natural resource investment, achieving a balance between economic development and the conservation of natural resources, enhancing environmental sustainability and quality of life, creating added value for local communities, and supporting the national economy.

The investment opportunities offered in the Qassim region include a variety of activities, most notably camping, caravans, ecotourism, activities and events, services, nurseries and plant production, contributing to the development of national parks and establishing their status as natural destinations attractive to visitors from within and outside the Kingdom.

It is noteworthy that the center is working on offering long-term investment opportunities alongside seasonal opportunities; to develop vegetation cover, support various afforestation works and projects, conserve natural resources, contribute to the development of the national economy, and provide new job opportunities for citizens in achieving the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative and Saudi Vision 2030.
