Saudi Arabia and the United States signed a cooperation agreement in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy, within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries, and in continuation of what was announced during the visit of His Highness the Crown Prince to the United States last November.

The agreement, signed by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, and his American counterpart, aims to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy, and support the exchange of expertise, knowledge and technologies, contributing to the development of joint cooperation in accordance with the highest international standards related to nuclear security and safety and non-proliferation.
