The General Directorate of Passports called on citizens wishing to travel outside the Kingdom to preserve their passports from damage or loss, not to pledge or misuse them, and urged ensuring passport validity for no less than 3 months for Arab countries and 6 months for other countries, with the obligation to carry a passport or ID when traveling to Gulf countries.

The General Directorate of Passports called on citizens wishing to travel outside the Kingdom to preserve their passports inside and outside the Kingdom, avoid exposing them to damage or loss, warning against neglecting, pledging, or misusing them, and ensuring they are kept in safe places.

The Passports Directorate stressed the need to check the validity of passports for citizens and their companions before leaving the Kingdom, as the validity period must not be less than 3 months for travel to Arab countries and 6 months for travel to the rest of the world.

It pointed out that citizens traveling to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries can suffice with carrying a national ID instead of a passport.
