The Saudi Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, following its review of regional and international developments, condemned in the strongest terms the repeated Iranian attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, and on the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, and Jordan. It affirmed its complete rejection of Iran's continued behavior that destabilizes regional security, and its violations of the principles of international law, the Charters of the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the rules of good neighborliness.

At the outset of the session, the Saudi Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the content of the phone call he received from Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, and what transpired during it, including a review of areas of bilateral cooperation and a number of regional and international issues, and emphasis on supporting everything that contributes to achieving the security and stability of the region.

Continuation of Saudi-Iraqi Coordination

The Council, in its session held in Jeddah, welcomed the outcomes of the meeting held in Riyadh between the Saudi and Iraqi sides, which included Iraq's affirmation of its commitment not to allow the use of its territory and airspace as a launch point for any acts or attacks targeting the Kingdom, the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and the countries of the region, in addition to agreement to continue bilateral coordination in the service of common interests.

Support for Syria's Positive Steps

At the same time, the Council welcomed the US announcement of the initiation of procedures to repeal the 'Law Designating the Syrian Arab Republic as a State Sponsor of Terrorism,' which was enacted in 1979, reaffirming Saudi support for the positive steps taken by the Syrian government towards enhancing security and stability, building state institutions, and fulfilling the aspirations of its people.

Likewise, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman briefed the Cabinet on the results of his talks with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, which affirmed the commitment to cement and develop bilateral relations at various levels, towards a future characterized by deeper joint cooperation, supported by mutual trust, close friendship, and the goals emanating from Saudi Vision 2030 and Canada's Growth Agenda to build a stronger and more resilient economy for both countries.

In a related context, the Saudi Cabinet praised the official visit of the Canadian Prime Minister, which witnessed the signing of memoranda of understanding on the establishment of the Saudi-Canadian Coordination Council and cooperation in energy, investment in artificial intelligence, and skills development, and the success achieved at the Saudi-Canadian Investment Forum, which included the announcement of trade and investment agreements between government entities, companies, and institutions from both countries in the fields of mining, engineering, infrastructure, advanced industries, training, education, financial services, and information and communications technology.

Furthermore, the Saudi Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, approved the State Revenue System, and also approved the introduction of a training visa to be granted to international trainees, subject to a number of arrangements.
