In cooperation with the Air Connectivity Program and the Saudi Tourism Authority, with 3 weekly flights from Riyadh.

Saudia, in collaboration with the Air Connectivity Program and the Saudi Tourism Authority, announced the addition of Tokyo, the capital of Japan, as a new international destination to its growing global network, with 3 weekly flights from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, starting from November of this year. Booking is now available for guests through all digital channels and authorized sales outlets.

This collaboration with the Air Connectivity Program contributes to developing connectivity with international markets, creating new routes, and increasing international flights. The launch of direct flights between the Kingdom and Japan boosts tourism and trade between the two countries and expands access to the Kingdom. This supports the targets of the National Aviation Strategy, the National Tourism Strategy, and Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to establish the Kingdom as a global tourism destination and logistics hub.

The collaboration with the Saudi Tourism Authority also reflects integrated efforts to introduce diverse Saudi destinations. The Authority works with travel sector partners and tourism agents in Japan to activate the Japanese market by developing attractive tourism packages and promoting Saudi destinations, thus attracting more visitors to the Kingdom. The launch of the new route comes at an important time ahead of the Kingdom's hosting of the AFC Asian Cup 2027, as it supports the arrival of fans and visitors from Japan and enhances the Kingdom's readiness to receive them.

The addition of Tokyo carries strategic dimensions beyond the concept of conventional air connectivity, as it represents a new bridge for communication between the Kingdom and Japan. It contributes to strengthening the growing relations between the two countries and their friendly peoples, supporting business, investment, trade, and tourism exchanges, as well as expanding horizons for cultural and knowledge cooperation between two civilizations with a rich historical legacy and an ambitious future vision.

Guests aboard Saudia flights will enjoy an integrated travel experience designed to the highest standards of quality and comfort. It begins before arrival at the airport through an advanced digital system that contributes to a smoother and more efficient experience at various stages of travel, and continues onboard with a range of innovative services and products that reflect Saudia's identity and operational excellence.

Saudia continues to implement its ambitious strategy for growth and international expansion, currently operating flights to more than 100 destinations across four continents, utilizing a modern fleet of 153 aircraft. It is also proceeding with a qualitative program to add 112 new aircraft, enhancing its operational capabilities, improving air connectivity efficiency, and supporting its goals of bringing the world to the Kingdom and solidifying its position as one of the world's leading aviation and tourism hubs.
