Cultural / Al-Muftaha District in Abha Organizes 'The Heritage House' Workshop to Raise Awareness of Architectural Heritage

Abha, Safar 01, 1448 AH corresponding to July 15, 2026 AD, SPA - The Al-Muftaha district in Abha city organized this evening a specialized heritage workshop titled 'The Heritage House' as part of the cultural programs accompanying 'Asir Summer 2026'; aiming to introduce visitors to the architectural heritage and traditional crafts that Asir region is famous for, and to provide an interactive experience combining knowledge and practical application. The workshop saw the participation of a number of visitors and heritage enthusiasts, and reviewed the components of the traditional Asiri house, construction and decoration methods, and aesthetic elements that characterized local architecture, in addition to introducing heritage crafts associated with old houses, through practical applications that allowed participants to learn about and practice these crafts, strengthening their connection to the region's cultural heritage. The workshop aimed to preserve the cultural identity of Asir region, revive traditional crafts, and transmit their knowledge to new generations through an interactive experience that highlights the authenticity of Asiri heritage, raises awareness of its civilizational value, and enhances its presence within the cultural events accompanying the summer season.
