The Municipality of Dhahran has spotted 33 damaged and abandoned vehicles in several neighborhoods over the past three months, and the municipality has issued official warnings to the owners of those vehicles to remove them, as part of field campaigns aimed at addressing visual distortion and reducing environmental risks.

Director General of the General Administration of Media and official spokesman for the Eastern Region Municipality, Faisal Al-Zahrani, explained that monitoring teams have counted the violating vehicles and placed official notices on them, adding that these measures pave the way for completing the removal of abandoned vehicles after the specified deadline, in coordination with relevant authorities. Al-Zahrani stated that the campaigns aim to reduce manifestations of neglect and enhance safety in residential neighborhoods, noting that the presence of these vehicles occupies public parking spaces, in addition to the security and environmental risks they may pose to residents and visitors. He called on vehicle owners to take the initiative to remove their vehicles and rectify their status before the expiry of the legal deadline specified in the notices, stressing the continuation of monitoring tours in various neighborhoods to deal immediately with reports received according to regulations, to ensure an organized and attractive urban environment.
