"Weqaa" Conducts Campaign to Vaccinate Pets Against Rabies in Arar and Rafha
يطلق المركز الوطني للوقاية من الآفات والأمراض الحيوانية حملة تحصين مجانية للقطط والكلاب في عرعر ورفحاء، بالتعاون مع جمعية الثروة الحيوانية، بهدف الحد من انتشار داء السعار وحماية الصحة العامة.
The National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Weqaa) in the Northern Border Region launched yesterday a campaign to vaccinate pets against rabies in the city of Arar and Rafha governorate, in cooperation with the Rafha Livestock Association, as part of its efforts to enhance animal health and limit the spread of zoonotic diseases.
The center explained that the three-day campaign aims to limit the spread of rabies and raise the level of prevention, contributing to protecting the health of animals and the safety of community members, as part of the preventive programs implemented by the center to enhance animal health security.
It stated that breeders and beneficiaries will be received at vaccination sites daily from 4 PM to 8 PM throughout the campaign, calling on pet owners to take advantage of the free vaccination service and to bring their animals to approved vaccination sites.
