The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the contents of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs' statement issued Monday evening, appreciating the Kingdom's positions to ensure Yemen's security, stability, and unity.

The ministry praised the Saudi statement's affirmations that reflect the Kingdom's steadfast and supportive positions towards Yemen, its people and its legitimate government, and its fraternal role in supporting state institutions and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, along with its political, economic, and humanitarian efforts aimed at achieving comprehensive and just peace, enhancing Yemen's security, stability, unity, and territorial integrity.

According to Al Arabiya, the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the statement's highlighting of the violations and practices committed by the Houthi terrorist militia against the Yemeni people and national resources, which contributed to the worsening of human and economic suffering and prolonged the conflict, affirming that Houthi claims of a siege on Yemen are nothing but an attempt to evade responsibility for the deterioration of living conditions and obstruction of peace efforts.

Support for the Yemeni government

The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to support the Yemeni government in implementing relevant Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216, and in confronting the threats posed by the Houthi militia to regional and international security and to freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb.
