Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad al-Alimi called on the Yemeni people of all components to rally around the state and republic project, support the armed forces and security agencies to restore state institutions and end the Houthi militia's coup, stressing that the time has come to end the suffering of Yemenis caused by the militias.

Resumption of oil exports as of today

Al-Alimi announced the resumption of oil exports as of today, noting that its revenues will be directed to serve citizens across the country, foremost of which is fulfilling the state's basic obligations, paying salaries, improving services, and enhancing economic stability, ensuring Yemen's wealth returns to all its people.

He affirmed that since the outbreak of the crisis, the government has not stopped seeking peace and alleviating the suffering of citizens, presented several initiatives, and dealt positively with humanitarian, regional, and international efforts. However, the Houthi militia rejected those initiatives, continued escalation, and exploited the suffering of Yemenis to serve its project. He also accused it of dragging the country into regional conflicts and threatening international navigation security and energy supplies.

He pointed out that the militias' targeting of oil export facilities damaged the national economy, explaining that the government exercised restraint before submitting an urgent request for support to the Kingdom for the general budget and state institutions, which the Kingdom's leadership responded to in a step he said contributed to supporting economic recovery efforts.

Al-Alimi renewed his call to the people of the provinces under Houthi control not to be drawn into what he described as incitement rhetoric, and to rally around the state project as the guarantor of security, stability, and Yemen's future, expressing his confidence in the Yemenis' ability to restore their state and close the page on the coup.
