The Secretary-General affirmed that Iranian behavior constitutes a grave violation of the principles of international law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817, and undermines the security and freedom of navigation.

Al-Budaiwi pointed out that these repeated and brutal Iranian aggressions not only hinder all efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the region, but also reveal a systematic determination to entrench chaos, in flagrant defiance of international law and the international will seeking to establish peace.
