Yemeni Presidential Council President Rashad al-Alimi called on the Yemeni people of all components to rally behind the state and republic project, and to support the armed forces and security agencies in restoring state institutions and ending the Houthi militia's coup, stressing that the time has come to end the suffering of Yemenis caused by the militias.

Resumption of oil exports starting today

Al-Alimi announced the resumption of oil exports starting today, noting that its revenues will be directed to serve citizens across the country, foremost among them fulfilling the state's basic obligations, paying salaries, improving services, and enhancing economic stability, ensuring the return of Yemen's wealth to all its people.

He affirmed that the government has not stopped since the outbreak of the crisis from seeking peace and alleviating the suffering of citizens, presenting several initiatives and engaging positively with humanitarian, regional, and international efforts. However, the Houthi militia rejected those initiatives, continued escalation, and exploited the suffering of Yemenis to serve its project. He also accused it of dragging the country into regional conflicts and threatening the security of international navigation and energy supplies.

He pointed out that the militia's targeting of oil export facilities has harmed the national economy, explaining that the government exercised restraint before submitting an urgent request for support to the Kingdom for the general budget and state institutions, to which the Kingdom's leadership responded in a step he said contributed to supporting economic recovery efforts.

Al-Alimi renewed his call to the people of the governorates under Houthi control not to be drawn into what he described as incitement rhetoric, and to rally around the state project as the guarantor of security, stability, and the future of Yemen, expressing his confidence in the ability of Yemenis to restore their state and turn the page on the coup.
