Algeria condemns attack on Saudi vessel in Red Sea

Algeria today expressed its strong condemnation of the attack on a Saudi vessel while it was sailing in the Red Sea, considering it a flagrant violation of the principles of international law regarding freedom of navigation in international waterways and a direct threat to the security and stability of the entire region.

Algeria affirmed – according to the Algerian News Agency – its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia following this attack, and emphasized the need for an immediate cessation of such attacks that could compromise the safety of international trade and the flow of energy supplies, calling for de-escalation and avoiding any behavior that could increase tension in the Middle East region.
