Amman, July 20 (QNA) - The Jordanian army announced this evening that its air defense systems intercepted and shot down three missiles coming from Iranian territory after they entered Jordanian airspace and targeted Jordanian land.

The Jordan News Agency quoted a responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces as saying that the interception and downing operation did not result in any human casualties or material damage, and that engineering teams began their tasks at the sites where fragments fell, dealt with them, and secured the sites according to the technical and security procedures in place.

The source stressed that the Jordanian Armed Forces will continue to monitor the country's airspace and maintain their operational readiness, and will not hesitate to deal with any threat to Jordan's security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens, in accordance with the established rules of engagement.
