Iranian Army Announces Targeting of US Military Installations in Jordan with Drones
The Iranian army said Thursday that it targeted US military installations in Jordan with drones, following the US announcement of a new wave of strikes on Iran.
State television reported that the Iranian army announced that 'in response to the enemy's aggression, it targeted communication systems and fuel storage facilities of the US military in Jordan using explosive-laden drones.'

The US military announced the end of a new wave of strikes against Iran for the fifth consecutive night. According to Al-Ikhbariya channel, US Central Command said the strikes were aimed at undermining Iran's ability to threaten innocent sailors aboard commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. It added: We targeted Iranian command centers, air defense sites, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal surveillance facilities.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that the US military holds Iran fully responsible for regional security and international navigation.
It noted that US forces began at 3:00 PM (Eastern Time) a new second wave of concentrated military strikes against targets belonging to Iran. The command explained in an official statement republished by the US Navy that these strikes directly target Iranian military capabilities used to threaten the freedom of movement of ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, a vital international waterway that serves as a main artery for global trade.
