The Israeli army arrested 32 Palestinians on Thursday during widespread raid campaigns in cities and towns across the West Bank.

The Prisoners' Media Office (non-governmental) said in a statement received by Anadolu that the army "arrested 32 Palestinians during extensive search-and-arrest campaigns carried out in several cities and towns in the occupied West Bank."

It stated that the arrests "included a number of released prisoners and young men, and were accompanied by house raids, searches, and vandalism of their contents, as well as subjecting a number of citizens to field interrogations."

It explained that the arrest campaigns focused on Hebron governorate (south), where 13 Palestinians were arrested from the town of Beit Ummar north of the city, while the remaining arrests were distributed across the governorates of Bethlehem (south), Qalqilya, Tubas, and Tulkarm (north), and occupied Jerusalem.

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli army regarding the arrest campaigns.

The West Bank has seen an escalation in attacks by the Israeli army and settlers since October 2023, which according to official Palestinian data has resulted in the killing of 1,179 Palestinians and the injury of about 13,000, in addition to the arrest of nearly 24,000 Palestinians.
