US military announces new strikes on Iran

The US military announced on Tuesday it has launched strikes on Iran for the fourth consecutive day, as Washington prepares to reactivate its naval blockade of Iranian ports.

A post by US Central Command (CENTCOM) on platform X stated that the strikes aim to "degrade Iranian capabilities used to attack commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz." CENTCOM noted that the strikes come as "US forces prepare to reactivate the naval blockade on Iranian ports and coastal areas."
