Land, sea, and air customs ports recorded 1,131 seizures of contraband as part of the ongoing efforts by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) to enhance security and protect society from all types and forms of prohibited items.

The seized items included 118 types of narcotic substances such as hashish, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, Captagon pills, and others, in addition to 402 prohibited materials.

Customs ports thwarted 2,478 tobacco and tobacco products, along with 25 types of monetary amounts, and 9 types of weapons and accessories.

ZATCA affirmed that it continues to tighten customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports to achieve and protect community security, through ongoing cooperation and coordination with all its partners from relevant authorities.

At the same time, ZATCA called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy by contacting them on the security reporting number (1910), via email ([email protected]), or the international number (009661910). Through these channels, the authority receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the Unified Customs Law with complete confidentiality, and grants a financial reward to the informant if the information is correct.
