The Jordanian army announced today the interception and downing of three missiles and six Iranian drones that targeted the country's territory over the past (24) hours.

The army clarified in a statement that the interception operation did not result in any human casualties or material losses, while a fourth missile fell in a remote uninhabited area.

On the other hand, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi affirmed that the treacherous Iranian attacks on the Council's states and the threat of the terrorist Houthi militia to close the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are acts that require immediate accountability and a firm international stance that ensures respect for the rules of international law, guarantees freedom of navigation, and protects critical infrastructure related to energy and natural resources. This came during his speech at the high-level open debate of the United Nations Security Council under the title "Governance of Natural Resources: A Pillar for Peace, Security and Prosperity" in New York, United States.
