Jordan announces interception of 4 Iranian missiles and 6 drones
أعلن الجيش الأردني أن سلاح الجو الملكي اعترض وأسقط 4 صواريخ و6 طائرات مسيرة إيرانية خلال 24 ساعة، مؤكدا عدم وقوع أي إصابات بشرية أو أضرار مادية في أراضي المملكة.
A senior military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces stated that the Royal Air Forces dealt with four missiles and six Iranian drones that targeted the Kingdom's territory during the past 24 hours.
According to the Jordan News Agency, the source explained that air defenses intercepted and shot down three missiles this morning, while the fourth missile fell in a remote, uninhabited area. The six drones were intercepted and shot down yesterday evening. The source confirmed that the operation resulted in no human injuries or material losses.
He added that teams from the Royal Corps of Engineers moved to the sites where the missile and debris fell, dealt with them, and secured the sites according to the technical and security procedures in place.
The source affirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to monitor the Kingdom's airspace and maintain the highest levels of operational readiness to deal with any threat targeting the security of the Kingdom and the safety of its citizens, according to the established rules of engagement.
The General Command called on citizens not to approach the sites where objects or debris fell, to report them immediately, to obtain information from official sources, and to avoid circulating rumors and unreliable news.
