The State of Kuwait expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian aggression that targeted its territory this morning, resulting in an attack on a new power and water desalination plant.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA): 'The repeated targeting of these vital facilities reveals a systematic aggressive approach that targets civilian objects and critical infrastructure, endangering the lives and safety of civilians.'

The ministry affirmed that this aggression constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817, holding Iran fully responsible for this aggression and its repercussions on regional and international security.

The ministry stressed that Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to preserve its security and defend its territory and vital facilities, based on its inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter and the rules of international law.
