Lumi Leasing announced that it detected an incident resulting in unauthorized and limited access to some customer data through one of its systems.

The company explained in a statement on Tadawul today (Monday) that upon discovering the incident, it activated the approved security procedures and protocols, took the necessary technical measures to contain it and secure the relevant access point, and commenced technical inspection and verification, as well as engaging an external entity specialized in data protection.

It confirmed that the incident did not involve any financial or banking data related to its customers or the company itself, nor did it impact the continuity of its business or operational services, as its main systems and services are operating normally.

It stated that it continues to complete technical inspection and assessment, has taken the necessary regulatory procedures, and notified the relevant authorities in accordance with related regulations and instructions, and will disclose any material developments in line with regulatory requirements.

The company emphasized that protecting customer privacy and confidentiality of their information is a top priority, and it will continue to take necessary measures to maintain it in accordance with the highest standards and controls.
