Nikolai Mladenov, the Gaza Peace Council representative, reported that he held a meeting on Wednesday with two military units from Morocco and Kosovo, as part of preparations for imminent deployment operations in the sector.

These efforts are part of the second phase of the Trump plan to end the war in Gaza, which received support from the UN Security Council.

Mladenov clarified in a post on platform 'X' that the meeting took place on Wednesday during his visit to Gaza, noting that it was 'in preparation for upcoming deployment operations'.

Mladenov considered the meeting 'fruitful', thanked the two units for their contributions, and expressed his anticipation of cooperating with them.

Mladenov indicated that multinational efforts in cooperation with the International Stability Force are still ongoing.

Last week, Morocco announced the signing of an agreement regarding its participation in the International Stability Force in Gaza, by deploying senior officers to the force's joint command, without specifying their number.

On January 16, the White House announced the adoption of management structures for the transitional phase in Gaza, which include several bodies, including the 'Peace Council' and the 'International Stability Force'.

This step falls under the second phase of the Trump plan to end the war in Gaza, which consists of 20 points and is supported by UN Security Council Resolution 2803 issued on November 17, 2025.
