Kuwait and Bahrain expressed their strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack launched by the Houthi militia on a Saudi-flagged ship while sailing in the Red Sea.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the heinous terrorist attack carried out by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, which targeted a ship belonging to a Saudi company while sailing in the Red Sea, causing a fire at the bow of the ship without any casualties.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered this attack a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and a serious threat to the security of maritime navigation, the safety of international trade, and energy supplies.

The Ministry affirmed Bahrain's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its complete support for all legitimate measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, stability, and vital interests.

It renewed its call on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to these terrorist attacks, take deterrent actions to protect the security and safety of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, Bab el-Mandeb, and all other vital waterways, and hold those responsible for these attacks accountable, in order to preserve regional and global security and stability.

For its part, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack launched by the Houthi militia on the Saudi ship, in a flagrant violation of international law and a direct threat to the security and freedom of maritime navigation, the safety of international trade, and energy supplies.

The Ministry declared the full solidarity of the State of Kuwait with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its standing by its side, and its support for all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty and protect its security and interests, stressing Kuwait's rejection of any practices that would undermine the region's security and stability.
