Greek newspaper: naval military exercises with Israeli participation in Lavrio port
The exercise took place between March 16 and 20, with participation from the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the Israeli defense company Rafael.

Greek media reports have alleged that an underwater military exercise was conducted off the Greek port of Lavrio with Israeli participation.
The Greek newspaper EfSyn in its Saturday edition, in a story titled 'Israeli war industry in the depths of Greek waters,' reported that an underwater military test was carried out in Lavrio port from March 16 to 20 as part of a European research program.
The paper noted that the research project called UnderSec (Underwater Security), funded by the European Union and involving underwater tests, was first launched in 2023 and aims to develop maritime technologies in European ports such as Lavrio in Greece, Valencia in Spain, and Ravenna in Italy.
It pointed out that the exercise involved the Israeli Ministry of Defense, the Israeli defense company Rafael, which works closely with Germany, as well as Tel Aviv University.
It revealed that the tests included the use of explosives such as TNT, as well as toxic and radioactive materials.
The newspaper explained that the tests 'lasted five days without informing local residents and without obtaining the necessary environmental approvals, exposing the port's biodiversity to serious risk.'
