US Central Command Completes New Strikes Against Iran

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced early today the completion of a new round of military strikes against Iran, for the twelfth consecutive night.

The command clarified in a statement on platform X that the strikes targeted a number of Iranian military sites and objectives, including naval capabilities, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance sites, in addition to assets belonging to air defense systems.

It added that US forces have targeted dozens of Iranian military sites on land this month, as part of ongoing operations aimed at undermining military capabilities linked to threatening maritime navigation.

The US Central Command noted that these strikes coincide with the resumption of the naval blockade on Iran, to prevent ships from entering or leaving Iranian ports.

It stated that to date, nine commercial ships have been diverted, while one ship has been disabled, as part of the naval measures carried out by US forces.

CENTCOM affirmed the continuation of its operations and monitoring of field developments, while maintaining the readiness of its forces to deal with threats targeting the security of maritime navigation in the region.
