The US Central Command announced today (Friday) that its forces carried out extensive strikes targeting dozens of Iranian military targets, including coastal surveillance sites, air defense systems, military logistics infrastructure, as well as naval capabilities.

The Command stressed that the attacks were part of operations aimed at reducing Iranian military capabilities and undermining its ability to threaten regional security.

In a related context, the US Central Command announced on Thursday evening that US forces had begun a new wave of strikes against Iran for the fifth consecutive night, aiming to further undermine Iranian military capabilities.

On the other hand, the White House confirmed that US President Donald Trump remains open to diplomacy with Iran, despite renewed hostilities between the two sides.

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said during a press conference that Trump holds Iranians responsible when they break their commitments to the United States, but at the same time he always remains open to diplomacy.
