US Military Ends New Strikes Against Iran

The US military today ended a new wave of military strikes against Iran for the eleventh consecutive day.

US Central Command explained in a statement that the strikes targeted Iranian military operations centers, naval capabilities, aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities, and military logistics infrastructure.

It added that these strikes are part of continuing efforts to undermine Iran's ability to threaten commercial navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and maintain the security of international maritime corridors.

The command stated that over the past three months, Iran targeted more than 30 commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, noting that those attacks endangered the lives of hundreds of sailors and affected freedom of navigation and regional and international trade.

It affirmed that US forces continue to monitor developments and maintain readiness to deal with threats targeting commercial ships and international navigation.
