Al Ahli lost 4-1 to German side Holstein Kiel in a friendly match played on Wednesday as part of the team's training camp in Austria ahead of the new season.

Ricardo Matias scored Al Ahli's only goal in the 21st minute.

The match against Holstein Kiel was Al Ahli's second friendly during their current camp in Austria, having opened with a big 8-0 win over Austrian side Pinzgau Saalfelden.

The match gave the coaching staff an opportunity to field a large number of players and assess their physical and technical readiness before entering more challenging tests.
