The lineup of coaches for the Saudi Roshn League's new season has been completed after Al-Fateh Club officially signed Khalid Al Atwi on Tuesday. Al Atwi, who previously coached Al-Ettifaq and Damak, joins other coaches returning to the Roshn League: Brazilian Fabio Carille, current coach of Al-Feiha and former coach of Al-Wehda and Damak; and Portuguese Jose Gomes, current coach of Al-Khaleej and former coach of Al-Ahli, Al-Taawoun, and Al-Fateh. The list of coaches shows seven remaining with their teams: Italian Simone Inzaghi (Al-Hilal), German Matthias Jaissle (Al-Ahli), Northern Irish Brendan Rodgers (Al-Qadsiah), French Christophe Galtier (Neom), Tunisian Jalel Kadri (Al-Hazem), Brazilian Mauricio Dulac (Al-Riyadh), and English Des Buckingham (Al-Kholood). Two other coaches remain with their teams after leading them to promotion: Croatian Damir Burić (Abha) and Italian Giovanni Solinas (Al-Faisaly). Meanwhile, the list of new coaches includes six names: Australian Ange Postecoglou (Al-Nasr), his compatriot Arthur Papas (Al-Ettifaq), German Benz Wessing (Al-Ittihad), his compatriot Thomas Leich (Al-Shabab), Serbian Zarko Lazetic (Al-Taawoun), and Portuguese Bruno Lage (Al-Diriyah, newly promoted). Notably, the 18 coaches come from 12 nationalities, including one Saudi, with Germans being the most numerous (three), followed by Italians, Portuguese, and Australians (two each), while the rest are from Tunisia, France, England, Northern Ireland, Serbia, Croatia, and Brazil. The Saudi Roshn League competition will start on August 13 and continue until May 29, 2027.
