Al-Nassr's first football team will play four friendly matches during its external camp in Portugal as part of its preparations for the new season, the club announced on Friday. The team will start these matches against Benfica B next Wednesday, then face Spanish side Mérida after six days, on August 1 they will meet Portuguese side Estrela Amadora, and on August 4 they will play Spanish side Almería. The Al-Nassr camp in Portugal begins on Sunday and continues until August 5. Al-Riyadiya had revealed, citing private sources, that Australian Ange Postecoglou, Al-Nassr's coach, preferred to advance the external camp as part of the third phase of preparations for the new season, as it had been scheduled for July 25. Al-Nassr began its preparations with a first phase at the 'Dar Al-Nassr' training center, lasting about a week, after which it left for Abha to continue preparations in a second phase, which ended last Wednesday. The Saudi Roshn League champion is preparing for a season full of four domestic and continental competitions: the league, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, the Saudi Super Cup, and the AFC Champions League Elite.
