Arsenal Bolsters Attack with Tzolis Signing

English club Arsenal announced on Thursday the signing of Greek left winger Christos Tzolis from Belgian side Club Brugge to replace Belgian Leandro Trossard who moved to Turkish side Besiktas.

Contract Details

The London club said in a statement on its official website: 'We are delighted to announce the signing of a long-term contract with Christos Tzolis, as the 24-year-old player joins us from Club Brugge, having made 108 appearances in all competitions, scoring 43 goals and providing 45 assists for the Belgian team.'

The statement from the reigning English Premier League champions added: 'Tzolis will wear the number 17 shirt and has already joined his new teammates at the training center ahead of the new season.'

Record Deal

According to media reports, the deal cost Arsenal around £34 million ($45.40 million) to Club Brugge, making it the most expensive sale in the history of the Belgian Pro League.

Tzolis' Career

Tzolis began his career with Greek side PAOK, before moving to Norwich City in 2021, where he played 14 matches in the English Premier League, then moved to the Belgian league in 2024.
