English club Arsenal announced on Thursday the signing of Greek striker Christos Tzolis as a new first-team player from Belgian club Club Brugge on a long-term contract. Tzolis said in a press statement: "I think I need some time to take it in, it's amazing to sign for such a big club, the champion of England. I am very proud to be part of this team next season." British media reported that the 24-year-old Tzolis joined the north London-based club for $45.40 million, in a deal that is the most expensive in the Belgian Pro League. Tzolis joins Arsenal after a two-year stint with Club Brugge, where he played 108 matches in all competitions, scoring 43 goals and providing 45 assists. The Greek striker helped his team win the Belgian Cup in 2025 and won the Belgian Pro League Player of the Season award last season after the team secured the league title. Tzolis began his career with PAOK in Greece before moving to Norwich City in 2021. He played 14 matches in the English Premier League and moved to Belgium in 2024. Internationally, Tzolis represented Greece at various youth levels before making his senior debut in October 2020, and has played 34 international matches.
