The world summit can only accommodate one team, and the whole world will sing its praises.

Today, Sunday at exactly 10:00, the curtain falls on the 2026 World Cup, which lasted more than a month, with the grand final that brings together Argentina and Spain at New York Stadium, for a new and final date of excitement that will undoubtedly reach its peak between a team seeking its fourth title and another seeking its second.

The Argentine team arrived with full merit and continued its journey to retain the title. How could a team with the world's jewel Messi in its ranks not reach finals and win titles? What he has done at the age of 40 is beyond imagination. He carried his team on his shoulders and led them to their third final in the last four World Cups. Argentina's latest victim was England, overturning a one-goal deficit to win 2-1 in the final minutes, having previously eliminated Switzerland, Egypt, and Cape Verde in the knockout rounds, after topping their group. Argentina plays its seventh final in history, having won three titles previously. Argentina plays with the legend Lionel Messi as captain and engine, the favorite for the Best Player award and possibly the top scorer. He is the most prominent player, alongside Alvarez, Martinez, Lautaro, midfield star Mac Allister, and solid defender Romero. On the opposite side, the most collective and confident team on the pitch, Spain, reached the final with the confidence of giants, sweeping aside everyone in their path. They eliminated the strongest contender France in the semifinals 2-0 and embraced their second final in history after the 2010 final, where they won their only title. They also eliminated Belgium, and before that Portugal and Austria. The Spanish team is distinguished by harmonious performance and collectivity, showing a great desire to win the title with a special Spanish generation. Their lines are cohesive, with a strong defense, midfield, and attack. Maestro Rodri is the team's linchpin and best player alongside Fabian Ruiz, and center-backs Laporte and Cubarsi, while in attack we find the football talent Lamine Yamal alongside Zabal.

This match revives European-South American encounters, as this will be the 12th final between the two continents. It will also be the second official meeting between Argentina and Spain, after they previously faced each other once in the 1966 edition, which ended 1-0 to Argentina.
