Abu Dhabi, May 14 /WAM/ The competitions for the Ijadh age category of the sons of tribes continued today as part of the annual final festival for purebred Arabian camel races "Wathba Final 2026", held under the Sword of His Highness the President of the State.

The feature heats for the Ijadh age category were held in the evening session, over a distance of 6 km, with the participation of elite camels from the sons of the state and the GCC countries.

The competitions were attended by His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State and President of the Camel Racing Federation.

The banner of Issa Khamis bin Ruwaya Al Khayili captured the first feature heat, as "Ariyaf" succeeded in winning the title of the first main heat, gifting its owner the Ijadh Cup for Open Bikar and a cash prize of AED 1.5 million, after competing with "Qa'idah" owned by Mohammed Ali Hammad Al Shamsi, and "Abha" under the banner of Mohammed Sultan Mrakhan Al Ketbi, recording a time of 8:54.49 minutes.

"Al Joker" won the title of the second heat, gifting its owner Saeed Jaber Abdullah the Ijadh Rifle for Open Qa'dan, recording a time of 8:53.80 minutes, after competing with "Munadi" owned by Hamad Ali Al Marri, and "Siya" owned by Ali Abdullah Al Musaferi. Meanwhile, the banner of Mohammed Sultan Mrakhan Al Ketbi claimed the Ijadh Cup for Local Bikar in the third heat, with "Haqwah" winning first place recording 8:55.01 minutes.

The Local Qa'dan Shidad in the Ijadh age category was won by the camel "Marmooq" owned by Obaid Sultan Balrasheed, after competing with "Mughadhi" owned by Mohammed Sultan Mrakhan Al Ketbi, and "Al General" owned by Hamad Rashid Ghadeer Al Ketbi, covering the distance in a time of 8:56.90 minutes.

The competitions for the fifth day of "Wathba Final 2026" continue tomorrow, featuring 32 heats for the Thanaya Al Jama'a category, including 8 feature heats over a distance of 8 km. The morning session kicks off with 18 heats, with the first heat dedicated to Local Production Bikar, where the winner receives a cup and AED 1 million, in addition to the second heat for Local Production Qa'dan, where the first-place finisher wins a rifle and AED 800,000.

The third heat is allocated to Crossbred Production Bikar, with the winner receiving a cup and AED 1 million, while the fourth heat is for Crossbred Production Qa'dan, where the first-place finisher wins a Shidad and AED 800,000.

The evening session features 14 heats and concludes with 4 feature heats for Open Bikar, with the first-place finisher winning a cup and a cash prize of AED 2.5 million, followed by the Open Qa'dan heat, where the winner claims AED 1 million and a rifle. In the penultimate heat, the competition will be among Local Bikar for the cup and AED 1 million, and the Thanaya Al Jama'a competitions conclude with the Local Qa'dan heat, with a prize of a Shidad and AED 800,000.
