Barcelona have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to transfer winger Karim Adeyemi for €22 million. Spanish newspaper Marca revealed on Friday that Adeyemi's transfer, aged 24, has entered its final stage, with only the last details of documentation and formal drafting remaining. Media and sports websites indicated that the player will sign a five-year contract with a salary of €6 million. The newspaper explained that the German international will move to Barcelona with €7 million in variables related to performance and titles, while the German club will retain 20% of any future transfer fee for the player. Marca noted that the player's desire to wear the Barcelona shirt and Dortmund's fear of losing him for free at the end of June 2027 facilitated negotiations between the two clubs. It added that Dortmund initially rejected Barcelona's first offer of €20 million plus some variables, but the two sides reached a near-final agreement on Friday after increasing the deal's value. The German press first revealed on Thursday the negotiations between the two clubs regarding Adeyemi, and indicated that German Hansi Flick, Barcelona coach, specifically requested signing the player he had coached in the German national team.
