With Hamza Abdel Karim's Participation, Flick Pressures Barcelona Stars
Hansi Flick, Barcelona's coach, intensified physical training at the start of the second week of preseason preparations, in collaboration with new fitness coach Benjamin Kögl, aiming to improve the players' physical readiness.
According to Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo', the second of two scheduled sessions today Monday, as part of a program that includes three training sessions until Sunday, saw an extended duration, focusing mainly on physical aspects, by decision of the German coach.
The training session saw the participation of the same group that took part in the morning session, with the addition of Uruguayan Ronald Araújo, who returned to team training after his participation in the World Cup.
Also present were players from the reserve team and youth teams who started preseason with the first team since last Monday: Orian Goren, Alex González, Óscar Gistau, Hamza Abdel Karim, Ibrahim Diarra, Shane Kluivert, Ebriema Tonkara, Toni Fernández, Guye Fernández, Jofre Torrents, Tomas Marqués, Bryan Fariñas, Álvaro Cortés, Aaron Yakobishvili, Iker Rodríguez, and Xavi Espart, who returned after receiving three days of rest following his triumph in the U19 European Championship.
Academy player Hafez Garima is still absent from training due to illness, but is expected to recover soon and join team training.
