The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Football Federation suspended Ali Obaid Al-Zahrani, president of Qalwa Club, and Abduh Mohammed Al-Mandili, player of Al-Hawra Club, and fined them in two decisions issued on Monday, after investigating their alleged violation of illegal influence on the results of Third Division League matches. The committee completed investigations and heard testimonies from relevant parties after obtaining two reports from the Integrity Unit of the Federation. According to the Federation’s website, the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee banned the president of Qalwa Club from participating in any football-related activity for three years and imposed a fine of 300,000 riyals after proving he violated Article 76 of its regulations. It also suspended Abduh Mohammed Al-Mandili, player of Al-Hawra, for one year from participating in all official matches and fined him 100,000 riyals after proving he violated the same article. Each of the two decisions is subject to appeal under Article 144 of the regulations, as stipulated in the fourth clause.
