Portuguese José Simedo, CEO of Al-Nassr, agreed to Colombian John Duran, the first-team striker, traveling to Europe to sit and negotiate with several clubs before determining his future, according to special sources told Al-Riyadiah. Simedo met the Colombian player on Wednesday evening in the presence of his agent, informed him of the approval for his travel, and gave him a one-week deadline to negotiate with some European clubs, on condition that he joins the yellow team's camp in Portugal if his fate is not decided within the deadline. In principle, the two parties, the club management and the striker, agreed that the latter would leave Al-Nassr during the current summer transfer window. Al-Nassr loaned Duran to Turkish Fenerbahçe and Russian Zenit last season after signing him from English Aston Villa at the start of 2025. Wearing Al-Nassr's colors, the player played 18 matches and scored 12 goals. His contract runs until summer 2030. The Colombian was recently close to joining Turkish Galatasaray, but the negotiations were not successful. Afterwards, he headed to Riyadh where he underwent a single training session with the team on Wednesday evening under the guidance of the new technical staff, and then met with the CEO, who authorized his travel, so he missed Thursday's training.
