Gohar Nabil, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, congratulated Mayar Sherif after she won the Yash Open tennis tournament (250 points category) for the first time in her history.

According to an official statement from the ministry's media center on Wednesday, Gohar Nabil praised the outstanding performance she presented and her success in winning her third title this season.

He said that Mayar's advancement of 24 positions at once to reach 73rd place in the world ranking of professionals reflects her strong return to her usual level after a period of absence from competitions, wishing her continued success and further achievements to raise Egypt's name in international forums.
