Haaland: I've grown up
Manchester City and Norway striker Erling Haaland confirmed that they have changed a lot and become more mature through participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Norwegian team said goodbye to the World Cup in the quarter-finals after losing 2-1 to England after extra time, in the tournament in which the team participated for the fourth time in its history, and the first since the 1998 edition in France.
Haaland took the microphone after the match to bid farewell to the Norwegian fans who attended at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, and left his first World Cup in his career with a smile.
The Manchester City striker said: 'These things seem like a dream. I think what happened in the tournament changed me as a person, and I think I have become somewhat of a bigger figure. It's hard to grasp when I remember the matches, but the special thing is to be part of an event like this, which I used to watch from the stands, and now I am living it myself.'
He added: 'I feel great pride, and I am truly moved when I think of the wonderful performance we delivered, and the feeling of unity in Norway, and the positivity and joy we felt there and here.'
