Radical Change in Real Madrid's Stance on Rodri
The future of Spanish national team captain Rodri remains wide open, with continued uncertainty about his next destination as his contract with Manchester City nears its end, and increasing speculation about the next step in his career.
Rodri contributed to La Roja's 2026 World Cup triumph on Sunday, after defeating Argentina in the final 1-0.
According to transfer expert Matteo Moretto, Real Madrid has radically changed its stance towards the Spanish midfielder after his World Cup victory, in addition to winning the Golden Ball award for being named the tournament's best player.

He confirmed that some members of Los Blancos' board of directors are trying to reach an agreement with the 30-year-old player, who has expressed his willingness to move to the Santiago Bernabéu at the expense of renewing his lucrative contract with Manchester City.
However, the position of Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez will be decisive, as he previously rejected the idea of signing Rodri, taking into account factors such as his age, status, and transfer fee.
Previous reports indicated that Rodri has not decided his future with Manchester City, with only one year left on his contract, which increases speculation about a possible move to Real Madrid this summer.
