Real Madrid have settled their position on the possibility of signing Rodri, Manchester City midfielder, and Michael Olise, Bayern Munich winger, after speculation increased in recent times about their potential move to the royal club in the current summer transfer window.

According to what The Athletic reported, sources within Real Madrid confirmed that Rodri is not part of the club's plans at the moment, despite the impressive performances the player has shown with the Spanish national team and his winning of the Best Player award at the 2026 World Cup.

This comes despite recent reports, the latest from Marca, indicating that Rodri strongly wishes to wear the Real Madrid shirt, and that some board members are currently putting pressure on Florentino Pérez, the club president, to reassess the viability of the deal.

Rodri's name had been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, especially given the player's extensive experience in La Liga with his former club Atlético Madrid, but club sources stressed that the Spanish midfielder is not part of Real Madrid's plans in the current transfer market.

Regarding Michael Olise, The Athletic indicated that Real Madrid's position has also not changed, as the club still denies any negotiations with Bayern Munich for the French winger.

The club had previously issued an official statement denying that it had entered into negotiations to sign Olise.

The outlet confirmed that signing the player this summer is not seen by Real Madrid as a feasible deal at the present time.

This comes as Real Madrid focus on completing their project under the leadership of coach José Mourinho, who wants to strengthen the squad by signing a new defender and an additional midfielder. However, the club's management believes that the bulk of the work in the transfer market has already been done, and that the priority in the coming period will be to offload some players before thinking about new signings.
