Santos awaits Leonardo deal... and monitors Ângelo
Brazilian club Santos is awaiting the completion of the transfer of its compatriot Marcos Leonardo, striker of Al-Hilal's first football team, to Dutch side Ajax in order to receive €875,000 in training compensation for the player, according to Brazilian network UOL on Tuesday. The network confirmed that Santos will receive approximately 3.5% of the sale value of the player's contract, which reached €25 million. According to the same network, Santos is monitoring Ajax's summer moves after the Dutch club completed the signing of Brazilian Caio Henrique from Monaco for €10 million, and the same club will receive 3% of the deal value as training compensation. In the same context, the Brazilian network revealed that Santos is monitoring the situation of Ângelo Gabriel, a player from Al-Nassr who grew up in their ranks, to see if he will leave his club in the summer, in order to increase income from training compensation and attempt to address the severe financial crisis it is currently experiencing.
