The Local Organising Committee for Saudi Arabia 2027 Asian Cup has strengthened its record of operational excellence by winning the Gold Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for 2026, one of the most prestigious global awards in health and safety, in recognition of its commitment to applying the highest standards in managing and organising sports tournaments and events.

The awards ceremony was held in the British capital London, organised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), a leading global body in occupational health and safety based in the United Kingdom.

This recognition came after a year in which the Local Organising Committee managed several major football tournaments and events, including the AFC U-23 Asian Cup 2026, the AFC Champions League Elite Finals 2026, and the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2026, as well as organising the draw ceremony for the Saudi Arabia 2027 Asian Cup and the draw ceremony for the Arabian Gulf Cup 'Khaleeji 27'.

This achievement confirms the efficiency of the work led by the Local Organising Committee in all stages of planning, organisation, and execution, and its commitment to establishing a culture of health and safety as an essential part of operational success, in line with the best internationally approved practices.

The Local Organising Committee continues its preparations to host the Saudi Arabia 2027 Asian Cup, which the Kingdom will host from 7 January to 5 February 2027 in the cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar, with 24 teams competing in 51 matches, the first edition of the tournament to be held in the Kingdom.

The Committee continues its preparations to organise the Arabian Gulf Cup 'Khaleeji 27', hosted by the city of Jeddah from 23 September to 6 October 2026, as part of a series of tournaments that reflect the growing status of the Kingdom on the map of hosting major sporting events.

This award comes as an extension of the Local Organising Committee's journey in developing a safe work environment and raising operational efficiency, supporting its readiness to organise a continental tournament that meets the Kingdom's aspirations and reflects the growing status of Saudi sports regionally and internationally.
