The Local Organizing Committee of the Saudi Arabia 2027 Asian Cup has strengthened its record of operational excellence, receiving the Gold Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for 2026, one of the most prestigious global awards in health and safety, in recognition of its commitment to applying the highest standards in the management and organization of sports tournaments and events.

The awards ceremony was held in the British capital, London, organized by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), a leading global body in occupational health and safety headquartered in the United Kingdom.

This recognition came after a year in which the local committee managed a number of prominent football tournaments and events, including the 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup, the 2026 AFC Champions League Elite final, and the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup, in addition to organizing the draw ceremony for the Saudi Arabia 2027 Asian Cup and the draw ceremony for the Arabian Gulf Cup 'Khaleeji 27'.

This achievement confirms the efficiency of the work led by the local committee in all stages of planning, organization, and execution, and its commitment to establishing a culture of health and safety as an essential part of successful operational processes, in line with internationally approved best practices.

The local committee continues its preparations to host the Saudi Arabia 2027 Asian Cup, which the Kingdom will host from January 7 to February 5, 2027, in the cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, and Khobar, with the participation of (24) teams competing in (51) matches, in the first edition of the tournament to be held in the Kingdom.

The committee also continues its preparations to organize the Arabian Gulf Cup 'Khaleeji 27', which will be hosted by the city of Jeddah from September 23 to October 6, 2026, as part of a series of tournaments that reflect the Kingdom's growing status on the map of hosting major sporting events.

This award comes as an extension of the local committee's journey in developing a safe work environment and enhancing operational efficiency, supporting its readiness to organize a continental tournament that meets the Kingdom's aspirations and reflects the growing status of Saudi sports at the regional and international levels.
