Saudi Formula 4 Championship Returns with Its Biggest Season Since Launch

Under the sports supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, the third edition of the Saudi Aramco Formula 4 Championship, the first Saudi single-seater car championship accredited by the International Automobile Federation (FIA), was announced to launch in a season that is the biggest since the championship's inception, witnessing an expansion in the number of rounds and the adoption of a new system in a step that reflects the Kingdom's continued investment in developing national talents and enhancing its position as a global destination for motorsport.

The championship competitions will be held from October to December 2026 over six rounds hosted by the Jeddah Corniche Circuit and the Lusail International Circuit in Qatar, as the championship returns to Qatar in confirmation of the continuous regional expansion of the championship and strengthening its presence outside the Kingdom. The new season also adopts a new system that includes one day of official testing, followed by two days of competitions, giving drivers more time on the track and wider opportunities to gain experience and hone their skills.

Up to 20 drivers, male and female, will participate in the championship, all competing in a single-seat car of the Tatuus T421 – Abarth F4 Gen2 model, ensuring equal opportunities among all participants and making skill and individual driving abilities the decisive factor in determining results on the track. The championship's role is not limited to preparing drivers, but extends to contributing to building an integrated system for motorsport in the Kingdom, through investment in national talents in the fields of engineering and mechanics, sponsorship, operations, media, and marketing, supporting the growth of the sector and contributing to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
