Spain returned to the top of the FIFA men's world ranking after coach Luis de la Fuente's team beat Argentina 1-0 after extra time, reclaiming the top spot for the first time since January, while Argentina dropped to second.

France and England held onto third and fourth places respectively, while Brazil moved up to fifth.

Morocco recorded its highest ever ranking by moving up to sixth in the world, while Portugal dropped two places to seventh. Belgium rose to eighth, swapping places with the Netherlands who fell to ninth. Mexico entered the top ten after jumping four places.

As for the Saudi national team, the Green Falcons moved up three places in the new monthly ranking to 58th in the world.

Norway was the biggest climber, jumping 12 places to 19th, while Germany dropped out of the top ten to 12th and Italy fell to 15th.

In the Arab world, Tunisia was the biggest loser, dropping 12 places to 57th, while Egypt moved up five places to 24th.

Cape Verde moved up three places to 64th, one spot ahead of Ghana who rose eight places.
